Economic estimation of the construction of a rose greenhouse for the sustainable development of the watershed
Greenhouse cultivation is a part of agriculture that increases employment, income, and exports of the country by increasing land and water productivity, and is developing and progressing day by day in the world. The purpose of this research is to investigate the economic feasibility of constructing a rose greenhouse in the Mehriz Mountain Corner watershed for sustainable development. Using a face-to-face interview with a local investor in this field, it was estimated that in a rose greenhouse with an area of 6,000 square meters, the maximum profit is 6,198,000,000 rials and the minimum is 91,000,000 rials, and the benefit-to-cost ratio is 3.099165591. Given that this ratio is greater than 1, construction of a rose greenhouse is economically justified and increases employment, income, and reverse migration to the village, as well as reducing the loss of land and soil in the region, which generally keeps life in the watershed sustainable, which will lead to people's satisfaction. With proper management and public participation, we can advance the watershed towards increasing sustainable development and resolving economic and social issues.
